FlickrFan Event: 14 Things Photograhphy – March Meet Up

February 12, 2010

14 Things Photography Meetup – Melbourne

We’ll meet at the venue around 6pm for food first if people want to eat before we start discussing photography at 7pm.

Topics for March:
erotic
tea
ambiance
sleep
pretentious
vogue
umbrella
mood
beige
light
single
team
mirror
song – "what’s love got to do with it"

It would be great if a couple of others could also bring laptops.

Each month, 14 different words and phrases are posted on the brief for the meeting. Each person is free to interpret the words in any way they choose through camera’s lens. Each photo must be related to a word on the brief (no matter how loosely!) Multiples of the same word is OK too!

Just be prepared to show them to the group and and briefly talk about each one.
– How does the image relate to the word?
– Where did you take the shot and how did you set it up? or was it candid?
– What you like about the shot?
– what you would like to have improved?

Once you RSVP, check the meetup details for the "14 Things" brief for the month, should you wish to have a go at it, along with some very quick guidelines on talking on images and giving feedback.

I love photography and started this group to share and learn from others in a safe and casual environment. I look forward to meeting you and your images!

Let me know if you need any further details!
Sarah

Small note: I organise the meetups on a voluntary basis, however I have to pay monthly fees to the Meetup site. Therefore I would appreciate a donation of a gold coin (less than the price for a coffee !!) per meetup in the piggy bank!
