FlickrFan Event: Photo Exchange

December 3, 2009

Calgary Photography Group

THIS WILL ONLY HAPPEN IF THERE IS A HIGH INTEREST, IT WILL NOT WORK UNLESS THERE ARE AT LEAST 10 PERSONS! PLEASE ONLY RSVP YES IF YOU WILL BE COMING FOR SURE!

With Christmas coming and slow times for everyone we are all looking for new, creative, interesting, fun and AFFORDABLE gifts for friends and family. So why not use your talent to help others and have other help you provide a great gift.

What we are doing:

Each person who comes out brings (a min. of but more is always welcome): eight 4×6 OR six 5×7 OR three 8×10 photographs they have taken. On the back you write your name and then any other information you want to include, whether a story about the picture, a title, your business information WHATEVER then they are posted on a wall. Once yours are posted you can choose to take someone else’s photos in exchange off of the wall. You leave all photos behind that you bring whether taken or not and take your new photo home to enjoy or give away as a gift.

This is a great way to start getting your work into people homes creating a chain effect of interest in your name it is also a great way to give a unique gift.
There will be frames and mattes for sale with profits going towards the photography group. There will also be a table to leave business cards etc to do a little networking between everyone.

THIS EVENT WOULD ALSO BE OPEN TO ANYONE and EVERYONE! But you can’t take any pictures without leaving some. If you are interested in purchasing a copy of a photo you see you would then need to speak to the photographer.
